JOB DESCRIPTION

The Managing Editor position at Celebrate Arkansas is a fantastic opportunity to work with a national-caliber magazine with a wide variety of clients to tell encouraging, informative, and uplifting stories on a monthly basis. A leadership position at the company, the Managing Editor is a brand ambassador who uses both technical and leadership skills to not only create content but also to oversee contributors and other content creators, ensuring that final pieces are representative of both Celebrate Arkansas and clients’ brands in a positive and engaging tone.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working with Account Managers to plan, schedule, and execute contracted client content

• Supervising the content creation process from writing through editing and publishing

• Working with the Executive Creative Director and production team to ensure all content is accounted for in each issue, with an awareness of the most up-to-date final edited versions of stories, and signing off on the correct final content before going to print with each publication

• Ensuring that all upcoming content is accounted for, assigning content creation either to themselves or a contributor

• Conducting interviews with clients in a professional and friendly manner in order to create content unique to Celebrate Arkansas

• Working with leadership team to plan content months in advance to effectively meet deadlines

• Engaging with our partners’ public relations and leadership teams to make sure that all content representing our partners is correct and approved through the proper channels. We always seek to exceed expectations and only ever want pleasant surprises for our clients.
